Why I Had to Come Back Into My Body
My name is Hunter Johnson.
I do not teach concepts.
I hold containers.
That distinction did not come from philosophy.
It came from lived necessity.
My Background
For much of my life, my body was something I pushed through.
From a young age, hockey became my identity.
It demanded discipline, drive, and sacrifice and I gave it everything.
Along the way, injuries accumulated.
Early in my junior career, I tore both shoulders one in my first game, one in my last.
When the career ended, I believed the answer was to fix the body.
So I turned to surgery.
Then recovery.
Then more effort.
But something did not change.
I saw it in myself and in others:
People repair structure, then return to the same patterns that caused the damage.
We manage symptoms.
We rarely address the system.
When the Body Forced the Question
Not long after, while doing my electrical apprenticeship in Calgary, I slipped a disc in my back.
I was bedridden for six months.
Doctors told me I would never play sports again and warned me to avoid exertion altogether.
That moment broke something but it also clarified something.
Healing could not come from the same system that taught disconnection.
By that point, I had endured multiple concussions and major injuries.
It became clear this wasn’t just a body problem.
It was a nervous system, identity, and awareness problem.
I did not need to fix myself.
I needed to come back into myself.
My Approach
What followed was not a program.
It was learning how the body actually works.
How posture, breath, movement, and attention create safety.
How the nervous system governs behavior more than willpower ever could.
Through focused posture and alignment work, my body began to reorganize.
Strength returned.
Balance returned.
Confidence returned.
But more importantly presence returned.
That’s when I understood something fundamental:
When the body feels safe, truth can stay.
And when truth stays, life reorganizes.
Why I Created Retrain Our Brains
Retrain Our Brains was built from lived experience not theory.
From understanding how the soul leaves the body to survive,
and how it returns when safety is restored.
From seeing that spirituality without embodiment creates fracture,
and that faith, when lived in the body, creates coherence.
This work exists to guide others through that same return.
Not by telling you who to be.
Not by giving you answers.
But by holding a container where:
– The spirit becomes embodied authority
– The body relearns safety
– The soul reclaims truth
Why Initiation
Information does not heal fragmentation.
Presence does.
Concepts does not regulate nervous systems.
Experience does.
That is why this work is structured as initiation not instruction.
And why the 7-Day Initiation is the only entry point.
Because embodiment cannot be skipped.
And truth cannot be rushed.
If You Are Here
If you are here, you are not looking to be fixed.
You are looking to inhabit yourself.
To stop seeking externally.
To stop overriding your body.
To stop outsourcing truth.
This work is not for everyone.
But if something in you recognizes this path
not as an idea, but as a memory
Then you already know why you are here.
And when you are ready, the initiation waits.
